England: 1 Paul Robinson, 2 Gary Neville, 3 Ashley Cole, 4 Jamie Carragher, 5 Rio Ferdinand, 6 John Terry (c), 7 Michael Carrick, 8 Frank Lampard, 9 Wayne Rooney, 10 Peter Crouch, 11 Scott Parker

Looks solid and should hopefully be enough to get a decent result tonight. I have to admit to not being a massive fan of this formation, i think 3-5-2 works best with 2 very clever, versatile strikers. Im not sure this formation will benefit Crouch and Rooney.

We carry to many ordinary players to beat even good teams let alone the top teams.

Well yet again a piss poor performance. Maclaren is just Sven in disguise aka ****in useless. At the moment watching paint dry is actually more entertaining than watching england. Bunch of retards (Thats not fair on retards they could probably play better)

3-5-2 formation does not work thats for sure, Lumpard was ment to be bombing forward @ every attempt. Again i don't want to appear like a record player but how long are we going to keep carrying this useless ****.

Sadly Robbo will get all the headlines for the unfortunate bobble, but he kept England in the game with some pukka saves.

Time to **** Neville off give Michah Richards a go.

I'm sick of watching supposed superstars playing like they don't ****ing care. These ****s are meant to be proud to represent their country, and they're playing like they don't give a shit.

Get some of the young'uns in, at least they play with some pride.

Lampard had another shocker. Neville, Carrick and Parker looked completely clueless. The Front 2 were isolated for most of the game. The whole setup needed a shake up, we had the opportunity to do it but decided to stick with the same bullshit.

Think its time to get Barton or Nolan in for lumpard,at least they'll show some heart and it proves that players are picked on merit. I think Lampard should stick on the bench wen gerrard gets back and have wright phillips or lennon on the wing.
England are useless without Gerrard as he makes things tick along quietly and i bet England cant wait for aaron lennon to come back as they are as creative as a monkey with a typewriter!

Disgrace, turned over to watch the Republic straight after, why can't our supposed superior players give the same sort of commitment and desire as they gave tonight?Lampard needs to be ditched pronto he's been a passenger for 18 months.I know i'm biased but that team desperatley needs a fit King and Lennon.2 shocking performances in 4 days sack Maclaren before it's too late.

It's embarrasing.

I've seen sunday league players play with more pride than that lot, and they're meant to be doing it for their country.

thankfully only watched the 1st half then went to bed (it was 2a.m for me on a worknight) .
i missed the build up but heard the formation was 3-5-2 , was initially quite excited if only for that fact that we were trying something different , that King must be fit and one of the centerbacks and that SWP getting a game as he was the only one that showed any zip or urgency against macedonia , that bent or defoe better options in that formation would be starting ahead of crouch and rooney

but no , they nullified any postives of formation change by bringing in carragher , who hasnt played enough with terry and **** face to have a good understanding . then sticking with neville on the right , he isnt a wing back in my book though he tried hard , not enough pace .
and then parker (i wanted his inclusion to be fair ) carrick and lampard with none of them seemingly knowing what to do , and looking very muddled lumped in the middle .
and to cap it all the two forwards who really havent hit it off as a partnership upfront . for rooneys sake alone he should be left out of the xi,

i saw the goals this morning , and i think robbo looked very leaden footed for the 1st , something that i used to slag seamen off for , and the other well just damn unfortunate . 1st half thought he had a good game.

croatia arent an easy team to play at home , havent lost in 12 years i think , but that was a shower of shite last night either right formation but wrong team , or wrong formation right team , or just plain wrong wrong

at least we have 5 mnths ( i think ?) before our next game

mcclaren used the wrong system and wrong tools... the posatives crouch is not good enuf he has proved that no pace and no movement...he may look good against minnows but strong aggresive defenders he aint shit...neville looks tired....and has not got the composure at that level... as for midfield... cant play 3 of the same ...all 3 midfielders lamps, carrick, and parker .. between them they cudnt beat a tortoise in a race... only parker has aggresion..and he proved the step up is a bit much 4 him.. but they offer no defence and no movement between them... neva supported front play...and y play 3 at the back... not a good game plan...robbo kept them in it 1st half.. cole got injured...maybe shud a used swp...and defoe and ricardson...only players in squad with any pace... and wat hapend to our own super jj... not rated i dont think...no end product...

JJ would have been better as i said on another thread, Parker was a waste of space, Carrick our playmaker??????? did he ever pass forwards until Defoe came on??? Lampard = **** Cole should have ****ed off when he got injured cos he couldnt jump to defend the first goals cross and Neville should know better than to hit a full on back pass between the sticks, if youre gonna hit it back that hard make sure its missing the goal (basic schoolboy defending) tho Robbo should have ensured his area was flat before the 2nd half kicked off!!!! (basic schoolboy keeping)
still theyre paid £0000s to make this silly errors , now if we'd have started with the players we ended with ,then we may have done a damn sight better

Once again Crouch was useless against decent opposistion, he may score a lot against the shit teams ( Jamacia, Andorra etc ) but he is out of his class and a waste of space when it matters. And its about time that some of the so called world class players were dropped, i.e. Lampard, Ferdninand , Neville.
