1-0 Spurs, Ledley to score the winner 10 seconds from time. A bit controversial though, as it is from a corner and he appears to knock it in with his crutch...

With the way that ARSEnal are playing at the moment we cannot relax for a second on Saturday - As simple as it may sound but everyone needs to be on the top of their game, whereas against lesser teams we can afford to make minor mishaps the ARSE will punish us the way United did on Monday. I thought we played extremely well on Monday, althought the back did look very shaky at times so did Uniteds and it was the pace and attack minded attitude of both teams that highlighted these areas. We can do it, We will do it, YID ARMY!

We can do it. We must do it. NO player can have an off day, simple as that. This is the cup final most of our players have never had...
I'm too nervous to predict anything, but I am certain this is going to be one of the most nerve-wracking afternoons any of us have had in living memory and I have a horrible feeling that Lady Luck is going to play her part in this one.
SO PLEASE BE A LADY FOR TOTTENHAM!!!!!!!!!

Spurs to come from 1-0 at halftime to win 1-3. Robbie to get a brace and i reckon Michael Dawson will get a well deserved first goal for spurs, hopefully dumping sol into the back of the net along with the ball.

Yeah, this is the real judge of character. If we can prove that we can compete with the likes of Arsenal, then bring on the CL. Otherwise, we shouldn't really be expecting CL football.

My mate is so desperate to go to this game he even tried to go corporate but everything has sold out. Last year he did this and ended up sitting in the Arsenal end and he is prepared to do the same this year.
However, with the match being this important I said to him what will you do if we win and he said "I'd take a good kickin' if we do, it's worth it"
On another note he then said what would you take, we beat Arsenal and lose every other match this season or we lose to Arsenal and win every other match.
We both agreed we'd take the win against Arsenal :)

Yea i'd take that, last ever game at the library won by a Paul Robinson goal-kick which bounces over Jens' outstretched gloves.
They gave Jens an 8 for his performance yesterday - are they crazy? Did no-one else see those punches which were eaaaaasy catches for a good goalkeeper? Other than that he had nothing to do, except for a diving save when the ball was about 3 yards wide of his post.

Ironically i feel sorry for Klinsmann! he's made Lehmann Germany's no.1, and i'm not sure if he's all there or the options must be pretty limited but to let a gooner in goal and then for it to fail miserably would see the last of him in that role. That might mean he'll end up as Spurs future coach.
I wonder if he's seen the clanger videos?

This will be the match that our young team come of age by beating one of the best teams at their venue. We'll justify our presence in the CL next year. 2-1 to us with Jenas xcoring the first goal.

i'll take a draw but with the way we play, we wont sit and defend, we can win this, i predict 2-1 to the spurs; henry to open the scoring with the spurs to make a 2nd half comeback with goals from Daws and a last minute 35-yard volley from Robbo

i think Gardner was very solid sans a header back which was a bit dangerous if one of the goons marksmen was more aware.
its bloody Stalteri  he plays a good match and then stumbles and falls at the last 10 minutes.

Please hold me to this! if Davids plays we are down to 10 men and we will lose.
i will eat my hat if we win with him playing.
I admire him for his past but that was in the past. after seeing him against Man utd i didn't feel he contributed a bean, infact the opposite!
Why not play him in Lee's place? It would solve both problems!

Stalteri didn't really have an opportunity to clear the ball up field in that instance!
It's not like he doodled with it, he showed a fair bit of strength until he was fouled!
nuttyhotspurs
22nd April 2006, 03:01 PM
maybe he was fouled but he hasnt learned from his mistakes. he should play to the goddam whistle!!!
whats the point in having a "solid" game if hes going to lose concentration at the end and give it away.
a draw is a good result on paper but not from how we played. its very frustrating

just for once it would be nice if they made it easy for us. it sounds cliche but 1-1 at the library would have done us at the begining of the season.
no messing around now, we have to win our last two games!

know it was only a piont in the end but was so proud of the way we played in the 1st half - we absolutely outplayed them!
dont think we played so well against the scum since the 91 semi !
Yes davids should have been taken off - inevitable he'd get a red later on ( they knew this and targeted him)
So proud to be a spur today ( well always have been of course but think you know what i mean )
Gutted they equalised - dont they always - but make no mistake this was our day and they know it! ( see their so called 'fans' at the end absoluely shatered ha ha! After a decade of being in their shadow i think things are turning back the spurs way!
Also the spurs are now defintely back in europe whatever happens with this 4th place business - where we defintely belong!
3 euro trophies - only liverpool have won more of any british team in europe!
Down in swansea so had to make do with andy ' i love everything bout arsenel' gray's comentary on sky. they also had gooner graham in the studio. He rubbished our goal and showed why it was a travesty he ever managed us at all! But jamie rednapp was there for us - defended our goal to the end!
Once again well done to spurs - we did it today playing the 'spurs way' too.

I really felt me missed having Mido today and after having selection problems all year up front it just shows how we need that depth in players. although hard to keep them all happy the chances of an injury to one of them is high and then where will we be.
Lets hope we sign someone with class.
Maybe trade defoe - liverpool 12 million????

What can be said that already hasn't been said already? Well firstly, we got the point!.....If you would've told me before the game that we were going to take a point away from Highbury I would've been chuffed.....and to almost come away with all three on a day where we played well and stuck to a gameplan was exceptional.
As soon as I saw Gardener on the team sheet I felt as though it might not be our day because I find him to be a liability, but he did a job and I now hold my hands upto him. Carrick had a cracker of a game and almost did a Ricky Villa! Davids put himself about and shook the ARSEnal midfield about, as far as those that say he disgraced his team mates with the sending off, I find that a little bit over-the-top......we needed a physical presence in midfield today and he gave it to us.
Defoe was a little bit disappointing, fluffing a couple of chances he would've normally bagged....possible suffering from a lack of confidence at the moment. Mido was definitely missing, could've really done with his aerial ability and presence. And as for Keano, the guy is yid through and through....LEGEND!
The talking point of the game was our goal, and to be honest if any gooner says they wouldn't have taken that goal then they are lying. The ref is the man in control of the game and sporting or not of our players, he could've at anytime blown the whistle. Its about time ARSEnal got a taste of the foul play that they have tried to pull in the past and more often than not successfully.
Bolton and West Ham to come, and the battle is nowhere near over but we're a giant step closer to the Champions League.
YID ARMY!!!.........Rant over! Phew!
SharX

we definitely missed Mido. there were a handful of good crosses during the first half, and they were wasted because we had no one of good aerial abilities. and you could easily see how the arse defenders are not good with high balls, Tainio got his head to two of these crosses and he's as tall as Defoe!!
speaking of Teemu, i just have to say it again... the guy played an excellent game. he really gave the midfield balance and put some serious pressure on the opponent especially the first half. plus, i just read: "Teemu was playing with maybe a small fracture in his toe". respect.

Great Performance, still the problem of concentrating for the last ten mins, I hope this issue is resloved maybe then we can hold our lead and learn to kill off teams!
I was at a pub in Chester watchin the game and when we scored a Liverpool fan turned to me and said, 'They'd have done the same...' Funny how Wenger's claimin MJ is a liar when all he ever says is "I didn't see anything". I'd have loved MJ to lay one on the lanky french tw@t!
