I think Mido has had a big impact on our squad and his goals have definately helped us to get up to fourth. But should we keep him?

I think there are many positive aspects of having him around like bringing a good mentality to the squad. he is also a good target man for us but i think if we did not sign him i would not be too upset. This is because he is prone to go awol (African Nations is proof of this) and what is to say he won't have a go at Jol a year down the line? I also think that the african cup of nations meant he has not come back the same Mido that left us.

But Mido has got a lot of talent and is only 22! if we were going to go and sign another striker of his quality we would have to spend much more than how much we would pay Roma for him. If he does stay i will be happy if he doesn't then it doesn't really matter because i think Commoli has a top class striker on his list and i have no doubt he will deliver him.

as ive said before and will say whenever necessary, i love mido. i think he brings height, power, the ability to hold up the ball and the ability to draw defenders out of position. he makes such an impact and is sheer quality. now Lee Barnard is being heralded as the next big thing but Mido is only 1 year his senior. i believe that Jol can control him and keep him in line if necessary but it shows that that the lads got passion which is a very valuable trait. i desperately want to sign him on a permanent basis.

can't add to that, except that Spurs needs a striker of his qualities and he needs to build a stable stage in his career. so it's a perfect fit both ways i think. its just that Roma are being super-greedy, but you cant blame them.

Of course we should keep Mido - he's precisely the kind of striker we need if we're gonna mount another serious top four challenge next year. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking we'd have earned a point on Monday had he been in the side.

I'm sure Roma are going to get a little greedy when it comes to finalising the transfer, but given the impact he has had for us since his arrival this is hardly surprising. We'll be hard pressed to find a striker as powerful and consistent as Ahmet anywhere else, so let's just give him a deal that reflects this and watch him challenge RvN and H**ry (if he's still there) for the GOlden Boot next term.
