Robbie Keane is hoping Tottenham can learn from their defeat to Manchester United when they face Arsenal this weekend.

The game at Highbury on Saturday is being billed as a showdown to see who finishes in fourth place and claims a lucrative place in next season's UEFA Champions League.

Keane was encouraged by his side's narrow defeat to United on Easter Monday and believes they must repeat a similar performance if they are to come away from Highbury with something.

"It certainly was a strong performance and we have to take a little bit of heart from it to take into Saturday's game," said Keane.

"We definitely deserved to get something out of the game and - who knows? - if we had scored the first goal we might have won it.

"Sometimes you need a bit of luck. On Monday we had something like four or five chances in the space of 10 minutes and it wasn't to be. But we did play well.

"Man United are a class side and, if you give them opportunities, they are going to take them. From our corner they broke on us and scored then the second was a mistake.

"If you give teams like Man United chances they will punish you."
