View Full Version : Mido gone

There's speculation that Mido has left the club with immediate effect after he heard that the club would not be making him a permanent offer.

Well, so be it if that is true maybe his heart wasn't in it!

Looks like young Barnard just became very important.

He deserved to go just because of that hair-cut.

If this is true and he left because we are not signing him on a permanant deal then what does this tell you?

1) Either Roma wanted too much or he wanted too much which I doubt because there is no way we would not have agreed some kind of deal prior to taking him on loan

2) Kuyt, or someone is coming :D

If that is true it's outrageous behaviour - completely unprofessional.

i think his performances since the nations cup have been unprofessional anyway. I think we are more of a threat to teams by playing football on the ground anyway. I think if he would have showed his commitment throughout the season then we would have paid the dosh. We should have someone lined up as we've been looking for long enough.

We must have two people lined up, unless they are thinking Barney or Mounir are good enough to be considered first-teamers?

I mentioned on the last forum, that the only reason I thought we were being linked with so many big target man strikers of the Mido mould, is that he was on his way out. Sorry to see him go if this is the end.

Mido is throwing a tantrum. Apparently he has said he is ill and cant train or play, this because the club told him they wouldn't be making a deal.

As this is the case, I expect the club, if they cannot resolve the matter, to send him back straight away. He probably won't go back though anyway, and so Mido's problems with clubs appear to be continuing.

This is the type of player Newcastle will buy most defo, I can really see Lee Bowyer, Luque and Mido getting along just fine.

He said before the Everton game that he was ill but still meet the team and fly up there to play the next day. Jol said not at training, not on plane. Not been heard from since. This after being told he would not get the deal.

This piece could quash all of the rumours...

I hope so because I want Mido to stay. Without doubt he has made a big difference to us since he arrived.

Talking of strikers, Defoe looked like he could not give a t*ss about playing for us anymore both against Everton and Man Utd. This is not the same Defoe we had when he first arrived and with Keane playing out of his skin it is making Defoe look even worse.

One thing I really, really hate is watching a player half heartedly chasing down a ball. If anyone remembers Klinsmann then this guy never ever stopped running or chasing anything down for the whole 90 mins and we even chased, he sprinted. That is what makes some players world class.

The US government covered up Ryan Schappels death on 24. No-one said he was murdered by their own agent.

This story seems a bit too suspect to me.

He's a goner in my book.

Afternoon all, new boy here....

Surely this is just the press (monkeys that they are) putting two and two together and coming up with 186?!

Alright Tom?! How the hell are you?

What the hell happened to our little forum, there one day gone the next, strange! Is everyone else here? I noticed Nym/Vin as well.

Still FURIOUS with Mr Lee after yesterday but I think you know what I think about him! Just spoke to my friend at the Trust, he says this Mido thing is bollocks and the club won't make a desicion on signing him until we now our fate, makes sense........

Now if only I could sort out this bloody Avatar I'll be happy, just could n't cope without my daily rants on the forum!

Glad to hear it - although I have been disappointed with application from the time he got back from the African Nations.

I think Neil accidently deleted the old site, so we all got shunted on here ;)

It's still the quiet time at the moment.

I think clubs will not sell after the World Cup anyway, that would be logical at least. Also, who the hell know's where we will be ending up, can't be chasing CL targets when we still might not even make Europe.

His death was one of the most intense moments ever!
I hope Mido hangs round.

if mido has walked out we can kiss goodbye to 4th place, not saying that hes our best player but he is ruddy good and although defoe and keane play nice football they just dont produce on a regular basis. i love mido and want us to pull out all the stops to keep him.

He was my favourite character too!!
I was quite sure it wasn't him, they somehow switched his body and he's still alive!!!!!

Looking at the table, I'm 100% sure we will make Europe. The only team that can stop us finishing 6th now is Bolton (12 points behind, 4 games left) and based on goal difference, their current form and the fact we still have to play them I am sure they won't get the required 12 from 12 points to finish above us. Guarunteed 6th.

Seen reports this morning about Mido trying all he can to be fit for the weekend? What does everyone think about the Berbatov 'too good for us' quotes?? I must admit i dont know too much about him, 16 goals in 30 odd games tho? Still undecided on whether we should keep mido or go for someone else!!!?

TomMcLaren

Think the quote was from his coach, saying he should be playing Champions League football - sounded like a desperate bid to hold on to him IMO

Spurs can easily get a world class striker, but even the best strikers do not deliver the best results. its a matter of fitting in well with the manager, teammates, competition, fans... the club in general. i think mido is already settled in and his playing style pretty much suits Martin's strategy. if it was up to me, i'd sign him along with 2 full backs, right and left, then Spurs will be great next season.

Yeah! look at Chelski, they've had some lemons who looked great on paper and couldn't produce and don't forget Rebrov.

Just a little reminder for everyone, after the Man City game Mido was storming off down that tunnel when Jol pulled him back to have words, maybe this problem of his was blown up before even that game...?

And if Mido is not staying we need two strikers. Add that to the full-back troubles and still the left-winger and possibly a centre-back, although in my opinion this is last priority.

Who is availible for free this year, regarding left-wing, centre-back and full-backs?
