are carring knocks and it looks like Jenas may miss the Everton game, but Berbatovs knock sounds very minor so hopefully he'll be ready for the weekend.

If Jenas doesn't play, do we see Ghaly, Murphy, or Hudds playing?

I reckon it won't affect us to much

Lennon--Zokora--Davids--Tainio

That would probably be our starting midfield with Hudd or Ghaly on the bench. I'd be alot more worried if Berbatov doesn't start because we don't have a like for like replacement.

Good point about Berba, if he does go down, we will be in trouble.

If that is our midfield we are going to really struggle for any creativity or goals with two defensive midfielders playing.

Berbie's knock shows already that we could really do with another target man
striker before the window shuts,COME HOME MIDO!

Davids and Zokora both get involved in attacks plus with Keano dropping off Berbatov and linking up with the midfield we would create plenty of chances and easily beat Everton. What would u suggest?

I think I know, you would drop Davids then move Tainio into the middle and start Routledge with Lennon on the wings. That could work but I like my idea better:D

Zokora does get forward. Great player. Hopefully Jenas don't start, not that I don't like, but i'd rather Didi be given the starting shirt.

You read my mind! in a home game you don't need to have two holding midfielders only one with the other given licence to get forward and support the forwards, also if we played Routledge on the left it would open up the pitch more by giving us natural width on both flanks, thus giving Keane more space to do his magic.

Routledge has yet to impress me when playing on the left. Last week for the England U21 in a game they were supposed to dominate he didn't look nothing special and that was on the right in his favoured position.

Dropping Davids doesn't make any sense when he's been arguably our best player so far this season along with Keano, Lennon, and Berbatov. We could give Zokora an advanced roll and let Tainio play on left midfield were he has looked solid everytime he's played there.

Good Call. I'd rather spend £5million on Mido than £8million on Downing.

The reason I say drop Davids is because him and Zokora are too similiar and like to play the same role but Davids passing is really poor and he often dwells on the ball. An advanced role is neither suited to Davids or Zokora's game as they like to sit and break up play.

Why not both though it's not like we are strapped for cash :)

Zokora makes bursting runs forward just like Jenas and once he settles in that will become alot more evident. Routledge is not the answer to our left wing problem especially if he can't unlock the Moldova U21 defence.

I don't think Mido will go to Pompey, I believe that he won't come back here unless it is to us. I think deep down he's probably a little gutted he's not a Spurs player. I think he thought he'd proved himself here after all his shit and wanted the fresh start, but it never materialised. His attitude has changed since he came here, he seems to hae grown up.

I'd accept Downing at £4million on Mido for £5million.

I know Routledge is not the long term answer but short term he is worth a go, its not like we have an abundance of good left wingers. And to judge routledge on one game is a little unfair every player has a bad game, ive seen routledge have many a good game playing for palace, the U21's and Spurs preseason last year in the Peace cup.

I thought he did quite well against Moldova. That was a week after I see him have the worst professional appearance ever made against Inter.
