Tottenham are really beggining to frustrate again. Even from the games we won against Stoke and Wolves we still didn't play well and have been lucky. If this carries on with the shitty draws and loses then we might aswell forget about champions league football again this season. The only area where I think we are going wrong is finishing and killing off games. The back 4 need to pull their fingers out and start marking up better aswell.

Top half of the table baby! Looking safe from the drop so far!
Wait, what? We were supposed to push for 4th and maybe even challenge with a decent striker? Oh dear.

It's very frustrating. Each game we go into, I think, right this will kick start our season but nothing seems to be! We're going to have much tougher games to come than the weak teams we've played so far so it is a bit worrying!

Really think we should revert back to 4-4-2. It's a trusted system for us and we have the right players for the formation.
Problem is what do we do with Modric. We cant let him sit on the bench, but we sure as hell cant let VDV do that either. Take Bale out of LB FFS and give him the freedom to bomb down the Left wing to hurt opponents like he did so well last season. If it aint broken, DONT FKING FIX IT.
We are in trouble as far as defenders go, but that is no excuse to loose to WH.
We are loosing battles in midfield that we should dominate:
Bale - Hudd - Modric - VDV
4 creative players there, Bale and Hudd are reasonable at tackling, VDV becomes the main creative outlet (crossing etc) and Modric supplies the deft touches feeding Keane/Crouch up top. Simple method. Tried and tested. Worked last season, only change was VDV and Lennon/ Bentley
We were solid at the back last season, mainly down to the resurgance of Dawson and us remembering why King really is 'that good', but the likes of BAE (who has been AWFUL so far this campaign) and a lathargic Corluka are really starting to worry me.
Any idea on recovery dates for King, Dawson, Gomes, Defoe, Kaboul? I know Gallas is in 3 weeks so that's not the end of the world.
With the midfield I put up earlier, there should be NO excuses. That midfield should dominate most in the prem (apart from maybe the very top teams) and if we get sussed out, take Keane/ other striker off, put Palacios behind the midfield 4 and have either VDV or Modric play off the frontman. NO EXCUSES.
FC Twente is really starting to look like a game we could loose. They drew with Inter.
Enough negativity, its 6 games in the season. However, you can see where I'm coming from, the warning signs are there - just need to freaking heed them.
