went for jj but thought kaboul was excellent again and had crouchy converted either of his two golden chances late on he would have deserved it.

I've actually gone for Ledley King because he was the only player who seemed to know exactly what he was doing for the duration of the game.

If VDV had stayed on it would of been him, sure of it. But yeah, Kaboul, Jenas and Bale did well. Crouchy also did well I feel. My inclination was that he would be more effective than Pav upfront in that system.
If Ekotto hadn't sliced that clearance, he would of been right up there for me.
I am going for Bale though, overall I think he was the stand out performer over the whole 90 minutes.
Lennon and Particularly Corluka are seriously in a dip of form. RB needs serious surgery at the moment. If Lennon continues this form Bentley should rightly be given a chance, if anything we may get a response from Lennon.

Yeah Ledley was good throughout, but so was Bale in my eyes.

JJ was excellent, only giving the ball away when nobody made an angle for him and he had to try to force it. Outstanding volley pass to VDV for second goal and great harrying and tackling back.
maybe he should train Lennon on what tracking back means , didnt get Aaron today, early on he was beating Silvestre for fun, then he just gave up on the idea , lazy ****er IMO and rarely comes back ie Marin had the run of the left wing and 1 on 1 with Corluka way too many times , compare that work rate of Lennons with Bales and he either has to buck his ideas up or be sent on his way in January .
Kaboul looked very assured , Bale was non stop as usual , VDV looked like he was where he belonged, once again weak defensive issues cost us

Fantastic post, spot on!
I'm left wondering if Modric and Hudd can protect us away from home? But very disappointed in Lennon as you say MJB, he was lazy and non existent.

JJ, Kaboul and Bale were the stand out performers (and VDV first half)...but you can bet your bottam dollar that other European teams/countries watching that would of been most impressed with Bale...like who the hell is that kid! Thats who I reckon would of really caught the eye across Europe last night.

when Modric is back, I reckon Bale will drop to LB, Modric on LW but free to roam with ball, JJ & Hudd as more holding midfield, Lennon/Bentley/Gio RW, VDV in the hole

Its going to be one of our big options but personally I hope we keep Ekotto at LB and Bale on the wing, Modric in the centre alonside Hudd. Perhaps JJ can force his way into contention for a regular starting place but experience has taught me not to get too carried away. I have a feeling that Jenas is defintely more suited to a 5 man midfied. Stoke away supports that notion as well.

Their left winger Merin (I think that his name) looked awesome yesterday, surely he will be at a bigger club sooner or later? He looked like a blonde Messi.

Marin, up against Corluka wasnt hard to look good. But yeh apparently he terrorised Bayern at the weekend in their 0-0
