This is my summary of last nites game from what i saw on the highlights we played very well. I also have a fww worries still though which are the left wing situation and the other problem is why the f**k isnt zokora starting.
Robinson- Didnt have much to do but did what he had to when called into action. Rating 7/10
Lee- Liked the look of him at right back although he should of scored but i do think he played well and is a better player when on the right compared to when he was on the left. Rating 7/10
Dawson- Rock at the centre of the defence didnt let anything past him although the threat was little he again did what he had to do when called into his defensive responsibilities. Rating 7/10
Davenport- Best game i have seen him have in a spurs shirt. He was solid and on the night didnt look like getting beat. Rating 7/10
Ekotto- Still not sure of this guy although i have been told that he will come good. He looked a little lost to me and i cant remember too many times i saw him on the ball or getting forward. Rating 6/10
Lennon- Great he was all over the park causing havok to the wing backs centre backs etc... and was awesome for the build up to berbatov's goal. Rating 9/10
Davids- Worked hard thought he had a good game never stopped running and looked abit less wasteful on the ball. Rating 7/10
Tainio- Really love this guy one of my favourite players never stops running his work rate is immense. Also poses a threat going forward and is a sterm tackeler. Rating 8/10
Jenas- One of the best games i have ever seen him have and he capped it with a goal. He was good on the ball and rarely gave away the ball so was very pleased with him. Rating 7/10
Keane- Man of the match i mean knowone could get near the lad. Theres not much i can sat really just that he was a class act. Rating 10/10
Berbatov- Again looks a great player and was great on the nite he showed some great skills, turns, shots, and his movement off the ball is awesome. Rating 8/10
Subs Used:
Defoe- Came on linked up well and should off had a goal if not for a onform paddy kenny in goal. Rating 7/10
Zokora- Really like the look of this guy a very neat footballer is what i can best describe him as. He is good on the ball gets forward with the ball never really loses the ball and is a good tackeler. Rating 7/10
So all in all i beleive that last nite was great and all i can say is bring on everton. What do you guys think?

What can I say?
I'm glad to see your punctuation and spelling have improved immensely! I'm glad you took my advice and took English at night school!
On a (more) serious note I pretty much agree with your ratings, Zoko not starting doesn't suggest there's a problem, he's a new player and still getting used to the League, but as everyone can see, he is going to be a class act!

Yeah agree apart from Ekotto, he was great, put in a few crunching tackles and really looks the part. Also Tainio was off-pace last night but I believe it was his first game since Inter Milan friendly. Great performance! COYS!

Berbatov was actually amn of ther match for me last night. Whilst Robbie was unbelivably good for an hour or so, Dimi beavered away up front, linked play beautifully and generaly looked sheer class. His header to set up Jenas was fantastic and the way he but the brakes on for his goal was ther sign of a true predator. Incidentally, having compared Dimi to MVB I got slated. Reading The Telegraph today and what did I read? Mr Berbatov spent his childhood idolising the great Marco and models his game entirely on the great man.
Whilst I'm here I must also point out that Jenas was outstanding last night, tackled back, passed the ball nicely and scored a great goal. Maybe he has finally realised what his role is?!

Jenas' role as far as I see it is the same as Lampard's at Chelsea, an athletic box-to-box midfielder. And he did a good job last night.

not being pompous but how can you rate a team on 20 minutes of sky highlights???
having said that the ratings aint too bad,
ekotto done better than you saw in the hilites, much better both defending and attacking 7/10
Davenport bought the ball out well and should have had a shot in the box instead of passing (you could tell he knew that immediately) 7.5/10
Lennon, well gentlemen we have the next £30m+ player there if he keeps that up, he wasted nothing and tackled back well and you can tell he ****ing loves it 9/10
Keane, should have scored and shouldnt kick the ground ;-) but other than that a demigod in the first half , an enigma in the 2nd so id give 8/10
cant be arsed to do the rest

Yes, it's great that you can see it Welshie, it's better when Jenas knows it as well.

good performance of Berbatov last night but he can play better. Surely, sometimes he will play worse but on his day he's a world class center forward.

We played great last night especially in the first half. Keano, Berba and Lennon was outstanding and coursed their defence so many problems. I was kind of surprised to see how often Davenport caried the ball forward, and got away with it nicely.
really like the look of Ekotto. This boy has so much talent. He's lightning quick, hard tackling, good on the ball and physical strong. He can become a real star. He needs to find his feets in the premiership and maybe improve his offensive game a bit, but he's a great talent.

Disagree somewhat on Davenport - he may have looked good on the highlights, but there were times last night when he was shitting himself. Certainly will develop well, had a couple of nice runs and looked reasonably solid. He also could have scored if Berbs hadn't stolen the ball from his head or he had the bollox to shoot when he got the ball in the area!
Ekotto looks world class both defending and going forward. If he keeps this up he'll be a regular in the French side (can we get him a British passport?).
Despite his limitations, nobody hunts down the ball like Edgar Davids.
Lee chooses bizarre passing options on occasion - somebody needs to sit him down and have a word.
JJ ball watches too much, his movement isn't great, and he needs to get his head up quicker. Scored a great goal though, and looked better than I've seen him in a while.

Yeah Davenport looked hesitant a few times yesterday.
Dawson was his regular man-mountain self.
Lee, didn't do too much wrong but as you said, you do have to question his choices in certain scenarios.
Ekotto looked fantastic yesterday. He's almost unbeatable for pace and has no problem with getting physical.
Edgar was an animal again yesterday. He looked a bit edgy at first, a few dodgy first touches, but he hassled them the entire game and later on in the game he was alot better on the ball.
Jenas was a bit better, very well taken goal as well as a good run to be there for it in the first place. He still had a few moments where he looked nervous though and made some bad snap decisions.
Lennon was ... well he was Lennon. Give him the ball and he will destroy.
Tainio is quickly moving up in my estimations as alot of last season he just looked like a ball winner and not much else. He was good on the ball yesterday and was linking up very well.
Keane was legendary in the first half, but i put alot of that down to Sheff Utd literally having noone to mark him. You give him the space to, and he will shit all over you.
Berbatov is impressing me more and more every game i see. His first touch is immaculate, he's alot better running with the ball than i thought, and he knows where to stand to score goals. He had a very good reflex shot saved yesterday, and it just went to show that he doesn't need much to get a shot in.
When Zokora came on, the game seemed pretty much over for Sheff Utd. He calmed the play down and knocked the ball around very very well.
Defoe looked dangerous when he came on. Could have scored 2 goals, both of which he made for himself, both of which were going in was it not for 2 great saves.
All in all we looked good. There were a few moments where we would have been exposed had the opposition been better, but it was a massive improvement after Saturday's game.
To summarise, it was a good performance and a good result, but we can't expect many other teams to allow us to play the football we want to play. We need to tighten up.

A great team performance, the real stars for me though were Ekotto had a great game, great tackling good ball retention, fast and reliable. Lennon, cracking runs and a final ball. Zakora, came on and passed the ball round with ease, cant remember 1 stray pass. Tanio worked tirelessly throughout, and dont forget Defoe who came on and had more shots in 10 minutes than the rest of the team had managed all 2nd half. We must learn to kill teams off though.

After the Bolton game it was important we got the win, Sheff.Utd if they stay around will be the next Bolton so it was a harder game then some think. It was great to see our c.h not bullied by their aggressive style and a bonus to see us take the game to them from the start. We are not the finished articule yet but we are getting there.

Yeah that's the worst thing about the African players. Just when we go into the decisive part of the league they have to go to ANC..

Yeah, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. It's a bastard, but if we want African talent we have to accept the international schedule...
