I would make changes in midfield aswell, but i cant see Yol changing it. Not Ziegler though, Ghaly for Jenas.

I'd go with that. I take it you mean Murphy in the middle, I think he's proven he doesn't perform on the left. If he could produce his Charlton form in the centre it would add a lot of much needed creativity to the side. Tainio could play as a defensive player for the middle and left but as we know he can also break forward at pace. Another option for that role is Davids, I truly believe he had a very good game the other night but he had nobody playing with him in the centre of midfield (he adds so much bite and experience I'd be reluctant to drop him). Zokora looks to me that he will be a great player but he had a welcome to the prem night. Jenas and Defoe were both woeful.

Yes, it's a major mistake. Davids filled in fairly well for the first half of last season but it's been unbalancing the side for several months now. I'd be shocked if Jol thought Davids could play 2 games in 4 days particularly as he played the whole game on Saturday. Tainio is in the squad so I am hopeful he will start. Defoe should be given the chance to start in at least the next 2 games providing his foot injury is not to severe.

Even if Defoe's foot injury is minor, we need keane to start. Defoe can score goals, but keane can 'make' goals.

How about the Argies system of a relatively defensive left mid who can tuck in when required (played by Davids or Tainio), with Murphy in the middle with Zokora? The great benefit of that one is that you also have two main strikers and Keane is in his best position.

that would work too. I think we either need Murphy in the middle as our creative playmaker or 2 pacy wingers. Murphy is a good player and he gets stuck in and tackles plus he has experience and is a set piece expert so why the **** we've never used him I'll never know.
