How many games will Stalteri start this season?

not clear. imo... Lee is not that better a right back than Stalteri.
it depends on what Jol will decide to do. will he give Lee the chance? will he bring Stalteri back? or will he employ someone like Ghali as a RB??

yeah don't know. We'll see. I think Lee will get a chance on the right back for the forst few matches and if he does well I don't see salty getting many starts, but it's a long season and hopefully we will be playing a lot of games this season.

Think we should let the backline settle and keep the same defence in the next game. chopping and changing is not a good thing and its important the defenders learn to work as a unit!
The midfield needs changes tho to allow taino to squeeeze in for davids and i think defoe needs another chance to allow him to continue to build his confidence.
If keane has to start then Jenas needs to be replaced by him and thats my opinion for the next game!

None, with a bit of luck. In reality that depends on how many Lee misses... unless he plays Ifil/Tainio/Jenas there instead of Salty.

it would be a shame to loose Teemu from the midfield just to fill the RB position :( and i hope Jenas never plays as a RB either. he doesnt have the speed nor the awareness. Ifil might be good. dont know if Jol is considering him, but i would like to see this young lad.

He's quick, Jenas and how do you know if he has the awareness. Have you ever seen him start at right back. I'm not having a go but I don't know how you can say that.
I don't know what kind of right back he'd be either but I'd say he there's a good chance he could play that position. Wenger seems to be able to convert midfielders into full backs easily, I don't see why we can't do it.

Personally, I think Stalteri should be given a start tomorrow. We can't Leave Lee get another game after his performance on Saturday - it's about competition and I'm sorry but Lee was uninvolved, took waaay too much time on the ball and for some reason had no link up play with Lennon whatsoever - a performance that would win no competition. Stalteri isn't as bad as every one is making out - he made a few errors last season, surely he's worked on them? Lee just can't expect to start tomorrow after putting in such a lame show. Jenas was the only player on the pitch who was worse.

I'd give Lee more time, I think he's a far better all round full back.
I still have a worry about him though and it is that big guys can push him off the ball. It happened once the last day, if it keeps happening it is a big worry.
The prem may be too physical for him, we'll see.

I saw Jenas play there last season. He's not a right back, looked nervous as hell, and to be honest offered little more than Lee or Stalteri. Yes, another position he can't play.

Stalteri was consistent last season, he made some errors, but was generally solid for his quality, I think Lee should be given more time at RB though.
Jenas is quickly becoming everyones least favourite player, he better score a hatrick tonight! :)

Stalty's main problem is he gets turned too easily - happened a couple of times at key moments in 2 or 3 games last season (Blackburn was it?)

Would like to see Lee get a decent run at RB, which is his natural position. Thing is, I think his attacking abilities outweigh his defensive ones, so maybe a tougher tackler would be better.
Stalteri, for all his numptey-ness, is at least harder than Lee.

Lee has done national service, so he can probably kill a man with his bare hands.

That may be a tad extreme for the situation at hand!

but it's a valid point!
I'd love to see him take off a left wingers head with a roundhouse kick

I think we should have a whip-round, see if we can convince him to take it on.
