This surely just leaves us and the ar*e competing. I know some people have expressed worries about where he'd fit into the team, but I'd still bloody love Joe Cole to join. Quality player, and I think Redknapp would really bring the best out of him.

Think it hinges on whether Arsenal sell Fabregas and manage to get Gourcouff in as replacement or not. If Fab goes and they can't secure their top priority then I can see them going all out for Cole. Plus there's still the rumour of that £113k p/w offer they may or may not have made him a few weeks ago. AND that all his family are gooners. AND that despite his affiliation with Harry he probably couldn't bring himself to play for us being an East End boy at heart.

I always get a funny feeling when Harry makes comments he coud easily avoid...a couple of weeks ago Harry announced that he thought he would go to Arsenal, now its United.

That said, wouldn't surprise me one bit if he went to were the real money is at, and thats City.

Harry's not stupid, he looks it and acts it but what ever he says has a reason for it. Can we get JC? Not sure it just depends how much he wants a week and if he really wants to come to us.

Joe Cole's family is NOT all gooners. I happen to know a few of his uncles and they are split between Yids and scums. Personally, I don't think that we should break our salary structure for the sake of Joe Cole.

Up until yesterday I was unsure as to where he would fit with our family of Yids...

However, with a CL squad you need depth in all areas. Bentley is surely leaving this summer, which free's up a slot on the right wing or as someone to change a game by bringing him on. His flair and ability make him a Spurs man (Ginola anyone?)

He can cross, pass, go round opposing players, slow the game down (see Slovenia) and scores more than the odd goal from midfield. He would be an asset to the team.

Where we play him and who would be sacrificed is another question...

We have got to stop thinking in terms of first 11 but First team squad. The so called first 11 are hardly ever fit at once and it changes during the season. Bale was not in anyone's first 11 at beginning of season but everyone's first 11 at the end. CL will mean we cannot play any player for every match or they will face burn out by the end of the season.
Having said that I would love us to get Joe Cole as long as his wages are reasonable. MU pulling out though, increases the odds that if we do not get him that the scum will. I would have been happier if the scum said they will not pay those wages.

Joe Cole would be great for us but it has to be understood that any successful team needs to improve but not at the expense of upsetting the balance that made you successful in the first place.I still wouldn't break our wage structure for him though,we managed to get top four without paying stupid money in either transfers or wages and someone coming in and earning double what the previous top earner at Spurs earned,may cause some problems.
