spurs play bolton away 1st game of the season , with 2 fit strikers, robbie keane struggling for fitness, do we really want to rush him to play, say he breaks down further, does that leave us with only 2 fit strikers, and maybe barnard, liverpool have just signed kujt, to add to fowler, crouching peter, bellemy, pongole..... my question is are we equipted well enuff for the forthcoming campaigns, cups league and european football...

I think an old hand like Fowler at liverpool or Solskajaer at manure would be good, but who could we get like that. Sheringham maybe or Koller(probably cost to much for a 4th striker) or Vassell.

Keano isn't badly injured and Jol won't risk him if he's not ready, but Barnard deserves a shot in the 1st team for sure he scores for fun in the reserves.

dont get me wrong , i to think barnard deserves a chance , he shows a lot of energy and puts himself about and as we know he core a lot of goals in reserves, but its a lot of pressurfor him to now be the next striker on the bench for 1st game of season or maybe 1st few games of season, jol has done real good clearing out players we dont use enuff during the season, but we do look a bit thin in depth, if zakora took a knock, we do have cover but not the same presence, we are a quite small side...

Zokora, Davids, Tainio, Ghaly, and Hudd can all play well as the holding midfielder so we're far from thin in the middle of the park.

Lennon and Routledge can cover the right with Jenas, Murphy, and O'Hara covering the advancing midfielder role. So really we're only thin on the left wing were we're forced to play players out of position.

We've got 2 players in each position in defence if you count Ifil and I have high hopes for Pekhart & Dixon up front.

The only position we need to fill is LW and we're set for the season. It wouldn't hurt to sign 2 of them either.

I think signing Petrov and Sorin would be just magic. Sorin can play left mid or left back, he's a really talented footballer, I'd say he could also play right back if Lee was out (or Tainio maybe). I think those two could really bolster the squad.

I thought if Lee settled he could do well at right back and it seems to be happening. I think we're okay there now.

I'd say we're probably okay at CB and up front as regards cover. I think the youngsters could emerge this season (Davenport, and one out of Dixon, Pekhart, Barney).

Of course if he signed Ayala and another recognised striker aswell it would definitely bode well, and I think we'd definitely mount a title challenge then, but it is probably unlikely now.

I'd be happy to just get petrov and sorin. Why won't he go and get sorin? He's available, he nearly signed for baulton until he realised they were a pile of shit.
