Am I alone in thinking that the FA / Prem League allowing City to sign a keeper on loan is totally wrong?

Surely it's their own fault for not having sufficient cover and for not including a clause on the Hart loan to Brum? It's not as if they cant afford the wages of another keeper or 2.

If this is allowed, then why didnt we sign a right back on loan for the Manure game or make a big fuss about not being able to recall Hutton?
Or better still, why didn't we sign a full squad of players on the morning of Lasagnegate?

Maybe city are the new darlings of the FA/PL, given the amount of money that they have!

I have always thought that they have made a million out of the hart deal and they took that risk for their own gain!
Surely they knew in january they'll come up short???( not sure when the other 2 keepers got injured)

however if we had gomes injured im sure alnwick will be in and they wont let us get another experienced keeper. we would have to use our kids.

Their next level keeper is a 16 yr old, but lots of players make their debuts at 16 and more likely than not he will be warming the bench.

City should be forced to play nielsen and only use fulop as back up keeper incase of an injury during the game!Fulops had enough experience in the league to continue citys push :(

i agree with indianspur that nielsen should play no matter what. only is he is injured should he not play. fulop should only be on the bench.

This is why clubs have squads, reserve squads and youth squads is it not? If a position can't be covered from the first squad then promote someone from the reserves. What about that lad they played in goal when they played Scunny in the Cup?

GPK makes a good point regarding our RB situation this last 2 weeks. Did we complain? No, we got on with it. Middlesbrough tried to complain all those years ago but were told that they should have used reserve players.

Let's make no bones about it, money has had a very large say in the Premier Leagues decision here. It's not like Scudamore isn't in it for the cash is it?

It's ****ing horrendous

We have had injuries to key players all season, and only one player got hauled back from his loan - young Kyle Walker. City are the richest club in the world but can't get enough decent keepers to sustain a season?

We've lost Cudicini don't forget, we don't really have sufficient cover for Gomes should anything happen to him.

If they qualify for the CL due to any Fulop heroics then its scum - but it's what I've come to expect from the English game.

I think Fulop could cost them more than help. Nielsen likely knows his defenders and their tendencies, whereas Fulop will be coming straight in with little knowledge of what his defenders will do and how they react. Will certainly be good for a goal or two over these three matches.

I liked what Redknapp said after the Bolton game when Gomes pulled up, saying we might have to get another 2 keepers on loan on top of the 4 we have at the club. A good swipe at City there. Anyone know how Gomes is by the way, looked like just time wasting?

If that happened to us though re injuries, we wouldn't even ask the league. It's only because it's a rich club like city that they can get away with it
