Looks like kuyt is going liverpool...and its funny the geordies getting all upset about it...one fan was like.''how come we always lose out on the big signings we chase, roeder should sort it out''.

Could it be that Kuyt and every man jack knows what the geordies don't see...they are just a small team in scotland....have won nothing..cept texaco trophy 1975(statto) and are lucky that Newcastle is a one team city and has no other decent teams nearby...

another lot with short memories...yes they fill the stadium for prem matches a lot of the time....but when things arnt going so well..and wen they were in 2nd div..where were the best fans in the world then........Kuyt has seen that Newcastle is a place to start a career..or end it..not play at your peek.....

or if your michael owen your 1st club of choice dont want u back...

Liverpool have a pretty tasty strike force dont you agree....think they can b the challenge to Chelsea this year......aprt from us of course?

Geordies are gonna struggle with the shortage of strikers haha! Good stuff Kuyts not going to them.
Im glad Spurs signed A more talented striker in Berbatov, but loved to have had them both.

I don't rate Kuyt, but he should do ok at 'pool what with all the talent around him. I mean Rasiak would be a success at Liverpool. I think they can take Chelsea this year. They are the only team I'd want to pip Chelsea (out of the realistic ones and aside from us of course :p) as I despise Scum and ManUre.

yer kuyt is nothing special, he's just a mark hughes type player but i don't think it'll benefit kuyt much. look at morientes, he was pants there.

One question - how many f*ckin strikers do Liverpool need? How are they going to keep them all happy? Are they banking on Bellamy being injured a lot??

Well they have Bellamy, Crouch and Fowler at the moment and Fowler's age basically states that there's no way he can play every game of the season. He's proved to Benitez he knows how to find the back of the net and I think he's there due to his reliability when called upon and as a lethal finisher off the bench.

Ok, I know he's not the Fowler from his first Liverpool spell but he's still dangerous. I think Kuyt would be brought in as competition. So you'd have the three main strikers with Fowler taking on a supersub role. That's my opinion.

I agree, I think they need another striker. If they sign another I think they will be hard to beat this year for the title. Mind you Kuyt has been pants any time I've seen him but I'd expect he's really a lot better than that, his record is superb.

Kezman's record was also superb but he was a flop.

Keano/Defoe/Berbatov/Barnard
Crouch/Bellamy/Kuyt/Fowler
Rooney/Saha/Smith/Solskajaer
Henry/Persie/Adebayor/Walcott
Shevchenko/Drogba/Robben/Kalou

In terms of quality I think we're just as good any of the top 4 even chelski

Bit harsh to call him a flop. How many did he start at Chelsea? Maybe he's not doing well at Atletico now though, is he?

Think we're just missing that one better striker as dont rate barnard against the other 4th choice strikers just yet . but our 3 strikers match anyone elses top 3 for talent. Its all a matter of Injuries and whether we need to use barnard much..only time will tell if we need him to play!

Yeh pretty much agree there Indian, its the same all over the pitch I reckon, we're missing that 1 player in most positions that puts on a par with the top4. If we had them then we'd be title challengers, but we're not quite there yet methinks.

Don't forget they also have Mellor and Pongolle as out-and-out strikers, whilst Garcia can play up front as well - by that count they have 7 first team squad strikers.
