How long do my fellow yids think before he becomes englands no1,i do rate him highly but at the moment hes only no2,if he stays injury free and plays a full season he could push our robbo close.but for now our robbo is the no1

Robinson's two weaknesses are his distribution (sometimes his kicking is awful, yet he can kick so far it should be used as a weapon) and his long-distance shot stopping. If he sorts these two things out then he'll be number one as long as he wants to be.

He looked pretty decent but i dont see him conceding less than robinson at wigan. Its not just your saves that make u look good but the defence in front of you. Just look at Cech he probably made less saves than roBO but kept so many clean sheets that he's thought of as the best.

I think his biggest weakness is his aerial control. He's pretty good at shot stopping, I think.

He has got caught out by quite alot of long range benders though!
He looked dodgy before with deep crosses, but looks improved

Kirklands kicking from the floor last night was poor, i didn't see him leave his line too often coming for crosses either. Robinson had a poor World cup i admit, but for me he was the best keeper in the league last season. Cech is not as good as people make out, he just happens to have a very good defensive set up in front of him. Robinson will make the England shirt his own, as Shilton and Seamen have done in the past.

yeh in general, he just looks suspect when someone smashes a 25 yarder at the corner of his goal. But I rate him totally, he fully deserves his position as No1, for us and for England.

I agree on the coming bit - gave Greece at least two chances by not coming for crosses when required. On that basis, I would suggest Robbo's decision making is a bit better. Also, Kirkland is soooo injury prone I find it hard to believe he'll be fit for long enough to stake a serious claim to the shirt. On a lighter note, fair play to his dad for collecting that £10k bet!!

kirkalnd rightly looked a bit shakey , i think any keeper on his debut has the hardest job in football , its the easiest position to look a right tit and the hardest really to make amends .
saying that i think robbo is a class above him amd dont see any threat from anyone else . it will take an injury to shift him i think .
btw does anyone else think that chris kirkland looks a lot like nicholas cage

Injured again today i hear, hope he's back soon, good competition will keep Robinson on his toes.
