Clearly Gomes deserves it, only player to show up today for the full 90 minutes. Kaboul is promising, he just needs an experienced partner. He played very well at Portsmouth, but CB is a position where you need experience and a leader. When it's Bassong and Kaboul back there, with a youngster at RB (Walker) and BAE who is good at what he does, but not exactly a model professional, then it's always going to be an uphill battle.
