Great. Marvellous. Just what we bastard well needed.
There's the plate Crouchy, best find yourself stepping up to it...
Is there any way we could bring Keane back from Celtic?

Crouch could do a job if we stopped using him as a target man. Play a ground based game and he will flourish. This Crouch is s*** lark has to stop. The guy is a technical player who performs better when you play it on the deck......which i remember is the way we like our football at Spurs. Its not his fault that people like Dawson see him and launch a 60 yard pass.
Crouch is not s***.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know how loans work, but I saw on Tottenhams site that we recalled Mason.
I hope we can get Keane back. Not too confident in Crouch.

Technical is the last word I'd use to describe Crouch, but it is his chance. No real need to recall Keane, this is what we signed Gudjohnsen for.

I'd forgotten about him:blushing:
Anyway, losing JD is a huge loss! It's beginning to feel like we're losing too many critical components!
btw Lawro has us to lose 2-1 at the Britannia.

you took the words out of my mouth.
looking at the goals he scored against egypt provide good evidence of this. the first goal was technically superb. not alot of players would be able to drag the ball from behind him and score.

Devastating timing. Praying he's back for the April run in.

this is a massive blow.
think we need to improve out medical team aswell. they dont seem to be doing much. the come back date seems to be longer for our players than any other players.

This is just too much, our whole squad is decimated and now Walker and Rose ou to - more covering players as well picking up injuries.
Crouch can do a job if we keep it on the deck - most definitely, but losing Defoe's pace, with Lennon being out is worrying. We only have Bale now and if he picks up an injury its all over IMO.
Jesus the Gods really arnt smiling down on us now. Its the Fulham game I am worried about.
We are going to have to get EG properly fit, we need him now.

F*ck's sake. We're finally playing consistently and then this f*cking happens, because losing Modric for months wasn't bad enough, and not having Lennon for months isn't bad enough, and losing Huddlestone for weeks isn't bad enough, and losing Woodgate for the season wasn't bad enough, and losing Ledley at random intervals isn't bad enough. F*CK'S SAKE. Why is it our best players? Why don't Crouch and Jimmy Walker get injured?

Not sure how many of you guys follow the NBA, but we need to go after the Phoenix Suns medical staff. Honestly there are a lot of parallels between basketball and soccer and Spurs could probably pick up a ton of pointers by spending some time with the medical staff and figuring out what works for them.
As for Defoe. I think it really hurts us. Our remaining strikers all have their strengths, but none of them have any pace now. Teams will be able to play a high defensive line and we've no way to stretch them. I like Gudjohnson and I think he can be important to us, but he wasn't the right move. Getting rid of a smaller, mobile striker like Keane means we needed to bring another one back. Now our fast guy is gone and we are going to be one dimensional.
The one saving grace is that since other teams will play such a high line, it's going to be pretty silly to try to play long balls to Crouch. Hopefully we can go through the ground, where Crouch does have superb technical skills (don't believe me? watch how he traps balls with his feet sometime) and it potentially opens up the long ball to Bale down the flanks.
But I fear we will play more like we did against Fulham in the FA Cup in the first leg. No pace, no movement, no real threat.

We have just entered shit creek.
Teams will enjoy playing us now, if they stop bale they will stop the one dimensional tottenham. We have no pace in attack apart from Bale.:bike:

There's a lot of important games in those 10 days. And he's probably being optimistic.
Not looking forward to todays game. I imagine we'll piss about with the ball but have no penetration whatsoever.

Anyone feeling a bit better after seeing how well Crouch and Eidur can play together now?
I'm more concerned about Pav's injury now. Any word on how bad it is?
