palacios all day long, he really held the midfield together fair play to him. Bassong did really well aswell and gomes was very assured and kept us in it once or twice.

Wilson for sure, Bale a close second and I also thought Niko put a shift in.

Palacios was solid for me, done a shift of two men because modric was useless all game. Bassong was great at the back and bale was our best attacking player and he is a fvcking left back.

Happy as I am with getting them back to the Lane I am not too confident about Blackburn in the league if Modric is starting in central midfield. We need another solution I reckon, but we might not find another option.

I actually think Kranjcar might be a better option, certainly not ideal, but seems to use his body a bit better to shield the ball. A real pitty that Bentley has to be out as well.

Replay date is the 24th March.

Livermore anyone? I cant believe harry was short sighted enough not to put a recall clause in joh's loan deal, hes playing out of his skin for pompey crossed some lovely balls in today on his right foot, looks like hes been working on it and isent afraid to put his foot in where it hurts. We could really have done with him now.

Ohara would be perfect for the pressure of the business end of the season now...after the game time, and resulting experience he has gained with Pompey.

Such a pitty and sadly it could prove to be crucial for us as our injuries our killing us.
