doesnt look like good news for azza and it is going to be a big decline in his morale.
however bae is back in full training and the loss of lennon doesnt look like it will be too bad, as we can play bae at left back and bale in left mid. bale is just as good as lennon at getting round the back so it will be good to see some real width this time without bale having to worry about running 60 yards back to defend again.

Bale is good at slipping around the LM and getting into space. He doesn't have the speed or the moves to get around a defender 1v1 regularly. Lennon is really the only one we have who can do that which is why he's so important to the squad.

Good point regarding bale , he is definitely the pace option in our team, and I would go as far as saying that he is un drop-able because if he doesn't play we don't have a genuine threat from the wings.

We still have the likes of Bentley, Modric, Kranjcar and Bale to play on the wings. Although Lennon is a massive threat on the field with his pace, crossing and skill, these wingers have other qualities. It's still a disadvantage though with Lennon out :glare:

How about Bale on the left wing, Assou-Ekotto at left back and Modric swapping to Right midfield?
We only ever have one winger on the pitch anyway so all we're doing is swapping sides.
