The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON - Fifth Round - 14th Feb 2010 - KO 13:30 - Reebok Stadium

Talk about the big cup tie in here!

I think there's an FA Cup in us this season. Harry took a gamble against Wolves and it backfired horribly. We're going to be so up for this trophy come Saturday as a result!

C'MOOOONNNN YOU MIGHTY YIDS!!!!

I've gone for a draw but can see us losing this 1-0 after arry makes a tactical substitution by taking Crouch, Defoe and Modric off and bringing on an overweight steward, the burger van owner and 98 year old Doris (who has seen every Bolton home game since 1922). Trific:withstupid:

Would be a lot more worried if this were Megson's Bolton. Coyle's Bolton will try to play a bit more on the ground, and hopefully we can cope with that.

If Pav doesn't play a part in this match, I don't know what to say, he deserves a run out and a proper run of games.

Like all other matches, get an early goal, and we can win big. Don't, and you're staring at a 1-0.

Sounds right. We need to win this one, so that hopefully the winning factor returns after some abysmal results.

agree. i think we would struggle badly against an up and under team but coyles teams like to come out at play football on the floor, hopefully we can find spaces in behind the defence and use them to good advantage.

team i would play:

gomes
charlie daws king bale
bentley hudd wp modric
EG pav.

i think that defoe has been very poor in the last few weeks and hasnt provided much upfront.

I think bolton will try and play a bit (under coyle they at least try and play football) and i think we'll handle them. Not overly confident but i think we will win, i can see Pav getting a goal if he plays. 2-1 i think.

We need Crouch off and Pav on. Of course there's no hope of Harry making the proper change.

Yeah the Hiddink shout is tempting.I think that we have reached the limit of how far Redknapp/Bond/Jordan can take us.And what team that is attempting to break into the top four would have these three anyway?.
FFS,didn't we concede a classy goal to Bolton in the 2-2 draw at the Reebok earlier in the season?.How is it that only Tottenham can make Bolton look like a quality footballing side?.

Hiddink would be a dream, but I've read that he won't goto the Premier League without Abramovich's blessing, so I'm not sure Spurs is an option. If we are making a move for a new manager, I'd love to bring Jurgen Klinsmann back to the Lane. Talk of a new manager already? C'mon lads I think thats the last thing we need isnt it? Hiddink would be tempting to any team but we have become notorious for being impatient with managers and demanding quick success. We need to keep our fingers off the managerial trigger for a while! Harry has been here for over a year. Ive been with my girlfriend longer FFS. The only thing that worries me is that the shit seemed to hit the fan as soon as Harry was brought up on these tax evasion charges. Lose of respect from the players? Seems likely.

In terms of the match, again, we have been piss poor today. Lack of heart, hunger, fight, bite and any other similar terms you can use to describe the fact that Tottenham aren't willing to hustle and bustle their way to a win. We are a pushover team and we need to change that quickly if we are to have any chance of success. I expect a lot more in the second half. I would think about giving gudjohnson a run out in the second half.

I was on the old Rivals forum then, but I know over there a lot of people felt that was the case when Harry was hired, that he was a great short term switch to get us out of trouble but was never going to get us where we wanted to be. And I think we've seen just about every drawback of Harry Redknapp (the playing favorites, the long ball tactics, the inability to adjust tactics or make an effective substitution) this season. We've also been missing his best strength, his ability to find a gem in the transfer market. Other than our stealing from Portsmouth we haven't done much.

Absolutely shocking first half, but massive improvement in the second and yes we should of won it.

Bale has just been tremendous, and as good as Benny has been, he surely has done enough to stay in the side.

Our record there is dire and after the first half I was pretty much thinking that our season had gone with whats happened in the last week. Second half though has given me huge hope.

For the life of me Harry, give our 13 mil pound striker a chance please, it aint even funny anymore.

Crouch was better for Pool no doubt, but he has been immensely dissappointing for us - particularly in the last month or two. Not a goal threat at all, and its been to the detriment of the style we play. Fecking hell if we are going to lose lets at least some nice football in doing so.

Pav deserves his chance now.

i'm out of ideas on the pen taker because i know that who ever takes them they wont go in . pav is a cool customer but you can't score pens from the bench, keano can't score them from glasgow and defoe can't score them from 12 yards.
