So there it is, recalled to provide cover for Charlie. I have watched SU a few times this season, and Walker looks the part. I think its an excellent move personally.http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5912357,00.html

Naughton looks a great prospect, but he's pretty slight and not very physical looking. I think Walker is a lot more physical looking and has a fantastic engine, just might be better equipped to deal with the physical rigours of the league, and has gained even more experience this season, as he has stared 28 times fo Sheff U.
I am sure Naughton will develop through more game time with Boro.

Wasn't Naughton considered the more promising prospect? And doesn't it make more sense to keep a veteran like Hutton and give the youngsters regular playing time? I can't say this move makes much sense.

They were both considered very promising prospects, but Walker has done exceptionally well this season, his devolpment has continued to go from strength to strength. Dont underestimate the importance of starting and playing regularly. He's coming into us raring to go in good physical condition.
As for Hutton, if he wasn't happy with not playing that much, which he did intimate then no, its not necessarilly better to keep him.
I think it makes good sense. Believe me Walker is very talented and has done superbly for SU this season.

So we're only allowed one Kyle in the team at once, is that it? At least it's cover for Corluka, who to be honest hasn't been all that awesome for me this season.

Its Harrys masterplan to change us into pompey, he loved a 352 formation during his pompey days when given the chance.

That can work really well if the full backs are up to it and you have one amazing creative player linking between the two CM's and the forwards.
Worked for Bobby Robson in Italia '90. But then he was building a team around Gazza so fair play...
