bolton have lost 5 out of their 6 pre friendlies,i know this dont have much bearing on the premiershp but our confidence must be higher than theirs,so we can go there and keep the pressure on.....COYS

bolton away is always a tricky game and off the top of my head i cant remember when we won there in the league. however with that said i expect us to win because we are growing stronger and Bolton do not appear to have much momentum.

Have they bought anyone? And they've lost speed, okocha, nakata, and maybe others.

quinton fortune and meite from marseille but they are hardly going to take the prem by storm. do u think some of the ambition at bolton will have gone out of sam allardyce having missed out on the england job. there is only so many years that one man can continue to achieve the same level of success - mid table - before either he resigns or his fired. look at curbishley at charlton. if he had stayed for 20 more years charlton would have finished mid table in prem for the next 20 years. Its the same situation at bolton. nothing about them whatsoever is new this forthcoming season so just how much passion for the job has allardyce got left? I think when Roeder is sacked at xmas big Sam will not turn down newcastle again.

So this is as good a chance as any for us to take maximum points from them and start the season on the right note. I think we'll win 2-0.

We should stir the pot and start the rumour mill again about Nolan joining, That will help!

Always a hard side to break down, wont be easy but i think we will win by one or two goals. Would love to see Nolan at Spurs, should be in the England squad.

It is good about Bolton, but anything is still possible.

We should go there and do a job. But it is by no means certain. I do believe they have a few injuries too, so an even more depleted squad.

I remember thinking that we had a great fixture list this year, but an awful place to start.

yer i think davies and gardner will be out plus others, so that's two of their best players. think we need to make more chances though, and buy a left winger for christs sake. notice ben arfa came off after 33mins for lyon last night so he's probably injured again.

I really hope we get a result there, we weren't outplayed last season and deserved a point at least. Would be nice to start the season with a victory at one our bogey grounds!!

Yol must know we need to find a player for left midfield and with the Carrick money it can only be a matter of time, can't it?

Has Speed retired? Or transferred? If so, where?

Bolton have lost Fadiga, Jaidi, Matt Jansen, N'gotty, Okocha..Faye out for first 3 games and borgetti certainly talking to other clubs, there seems to be a shortage of squad players at the Reebok unless Big Sam signs a few players. Although some of the first team players are very classy, there will also be some average players on the pitch against spurs with their limited squad. Im hoping Speed and Campo dont have the legs anymore to compete with the energetic Zokora and Jenas, and of course with spurs class in depth compared to bolton we can win assuringly!

Just like we should have been assured of fourth last year. As good as things are at the moment, we still can't take anything for granted. Especially not away to Bolton.

this is a really good time to play bolton. they released a lot of 1st teamers, have i think about 5 players out injured and are on really poor form. i doubt they can replicate the achievements of the last few years and will probably end up outside the top 10. i really think we can do em, possibly even a high scoring game for the spurs

God I hope so - I would love to stick it up em. And sign Nolan.

They Will Try And Grind Us Down With Crap Football, but I Still Think This Year We Will Be To Classy For The Trotters And I Don't Mean Del Or Rodder's.

I hope we take Bolton apart, they have lost all their quality (Jaidi) and Davies is hopefully injured so we should win.

I think Bolton will struggle alot this season.
