Yup, I'll be there. Are we essentially playing a full strength side? I'd like to think that we may get a chance to see Dixon this time?

dixon was pulled early from the dover game so maybe he's injured, can't see him stepping out of the ressies this year unless we have players out.

Hmm, I had been told that both BMJ and Chrissy Hughton both thought he could handle a few first team appearances this season. I believe the thinking is that the earlier Dixon has first team exposure, the more he will learn. If he truly is "the next Rooney" then he needs to be thrown in at the deep end. All the truly great players were playing first team football as young teenagers, Pele, Gazza, Rooney, Maradonna etc.

Well there's a little article from Davids about Sociedad on the official site; bit of an insight on what to expect, if you're interested.

i think it goes a bit deeper than that, with the new uefa enforcements being brought in over next few seasons, squads will need to have homegrown and also a certain number of players having come through clubs academies. it might be important he does that. I know we are unlikely to be short of english players, but it might also affect their value later on.
