There seems to be a lot of gloom and doom on this forum. Is this normal because this time last here I cant imagine how bad it must have been.
So we lost the NLD but we never win there anyway.
Jol got sacked after we had something like 6 points from 10 and Ramosr got the sack with you know what.
Every team suffers injuries and suspensions so no point going on about them (otherwise we'll sound like everton). Sunderland have Jones, Cana and Cattermole missing.
It feels great to be 5th instead of bottom.

Well done :congrats:
It's just the bi-annual post-NLD depression. You just have to work through it :001_smile:

You'll think differently when you become a cynical old woman and seeing the same shit happen year after year.
Or you could be a happy clapper like some guys on here. The second option is much better but it doesnt remove the pain.
Anyway we could do with a proper real happy clapper/ :santaclaus:

Of course you make some fair points,but.........it is not the fact that we lost to Arsenal. It is the MANNER of the defeat to Arsenal. The second Arsenal goal was the very worst goal that we have ever conceded.Keane made some very unwise comments about how we are equal to them and that combined with the dunderhead defending made this defeat a thousand times worse than the others.

He makes a good point, you haven't been supporting them as long as alot of people on here. I give you 2 maybe 3 more seasons and then we'll see you turning into an angry young woman!

Very true. However even great teams can turn in terrible performances against their biggest rival. Look at the liverpool v man u game. Real Madrid v Barcalona. The long term goal is the most important view.
I ignore what the papers say because it is their job to sell papers and they twist things and try to make stories out of nothing.

Be a pesimist rather than an optimist, that way you expect the worse and anything else that happens is a bonus!

I've often thought that, and I used to be able to curb my optimism, but now I just can't help but have so much hope for Spurs. In fairness, we've come an incredibly long way since when I started really being a supporter, about 1999ish.
