... got absolutely turned over last night didn't they? Benfica were rampant, but the Toffee's looked really bad at the back, most of those goals were soft.

I hope its a reserves vs. reserves jobby next tuesday, really wouldn't want to jeopardise the derby - and I think we'd win, far better squad. I enjoyed the Wembley days out as much as everyone the last two years but it has to be league or bust this year.

Number of injuries to defenders(Baines, Jagielka, Yobo, Neville) plus Heitinga was ineligible, meaning they had a teenage midfielder(Gosling) at RB, a RB at CB(Hibbert), and a young RB making his debut at LB(Coleman). It all went tits-up when they conceded 3 in the first several minutes of the 2nd half.

I think they are going to struggle to get in the top 7 this year. They might pip Villa who I expect to peter out like last year again. Sunderland could well be a problem for both Villa and Everton come may. I think Wigan are short of doing that this year, but the manager and players coming through is impressive.
I believe Wigan and Fulham will be around 10th.

In my opinion , not a chance.
Last night only happened due to their injurys and Heitinga's ineligibility they would match Benfica with their full strength side. Them losing Arteta is like us losing Modric , we're doing okay but we're struggling in the middle of the park at times. When they get all their players back they'll be a force they have been for the last 3 years. No way will they finish below the top 7.

Yep, put Jag's and Baines back in that defence, and Arteta in the middle and they're a completely different prospect.
