easy now... He's a top quality striker, but I doubt that we will see the best of him this season, as it sometimes takes time for players to adapt to the pace of game in the premiership..

I haven't seen much of Berbatov apart from his 2 goals against Brum.
But if Jol compares him to Van Nisstlerooy he must be in with a shout
of being the golden boot winner

Berbatov is a goal scorer, there's nothing very fancy to him. I think he'll do very well this year, scoring many tap ins that we normally wouldn't have someone on the end of.
Zokora will be/is hoping to be our Viera/Makelele/Keane. I hope he is as all the teams that have had a successful player in that position have done great things.

No chance of a Golden Boot. The defences inthe EPL are so tight and the games are sofast and physical that and the league is so strong that no one inEngland will win the GB. It's in places where you can get a few easy games when you can hit 3 or 4 goals in 7 or 8 nothing wins that the GB will come .

good point but hopefully we'll get some favourable draws in europe where Berbie can really rack up the goals

The GB is only for league goals, isn't it? Or that I have it wrong?

No you are right although there is a golden boot in the champions league i believe. He has as good a chance as any body if he gets a good amount of service from the players around him. (fingers crossed)

As I said, he doesn't stand a chance as scoring rate in the EPL is too low. Also as we're not in the CL, he won't win the other GB obviously.

Can't agree with that...I would put money on either Defoe or Berbatov being top prem scorer this season. They seem to have clicked instantly and Defoe has been quoted as saying he is a dream to play with, good movement, excellent composure. I'm very excited about the impact Berbatov should have on our team this year.

One price I have been told is 33-1 on Spurs each-way for the title. That sounds good.

i think that each way at 33-1 is great value , top 3 or 4 for the each way to pay out ??

I'm talking about the Golden Boot award for the most league goals in Europe. A Brit has never won it ; not even Greaves, though the award was only in place after he retired. But even at that time, there were higher scorers in europe.
Since the inception of the award, Clive Allen in his magical year when the ball only need to touch him to go in, he could not win it.
In the EPL you don't win, or even score 4 as a team that often, so it is almost impossible for anyone in the EPL to win the GB for highest league goals in Europe.

Fair enough yeah; but I reckon he can take the Prem award. Berba or Defoe.

in answer to my own question its 20/1 with Ladbrokes which is a ruddy good price, my only worry is Scheva at chelski
