Could this signal the departure of Petrov to spurs?

its all pointing in the right direction. if he's on his way out of Madrid i think we are his likely destination and i havent heard of any other interest

That's why it's so interesting though. The press have linked us with every left midfield this side of the equator but have remained silent on the Petrov speculation. The majoriy of our signings have come with little fanfare until 24-48 hours before said player signs and importantly Petrov and Dimi are very good friends.

I really do not understand why we're not making an approach for Malbranque who is available at affordable price.

What would we need Malbranque for? I am one of his biggest fans and think he's seriously underrated but we have a surplus of midfield talent.

he isnt a left winger and would want around £60,000 a week in wages. far too much for someone who wont play regularly

If we can't get a reasonably good LW, he's a good enough option. Full of running and a good, hard shot as well. I can't believe he's a 60,000 a week guy. I doubt he's getting more than 30-35k at Fulham.

Malbranque? I've never seen him play on the left. Very good player, but I don't think he'd be an adequate answer for the left.

Moreover , Petrov created most of the Berbatov goals in the national team! We really need him , tho

The YankeeManure are going to fall to pieces soon. 18.6 million piece of china broken before being used.

Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe MJ & Levy are hard at work and BANG! 'Spurs announce Petrov Signing'....I can see it now.... :D

Come on Jol get it sorted. I would be happy if we didn't sign anyone else apart from petrov. We have Lee that can play at RB and we have cover up front (until Jan anyway). We just need a left winger that will give us a nice balance to the team.
