Niko, made one and scored one. Palacios looked terrible as did Hudd. CC made a number of good saves and looked nothing like as vulnerable as he did last week.

i went with niko. ithought he took his chance very well. his corner to set up charlie was good and charlie did well with the header to power it back to the goal.

overall i thought the performance could have been better. the defence was slightly wrong. i thought daws should have played today. attacking wise we werent as clinical. i think crouchy will be kicking himself now after that chance that he had to bed the game away at the end of the game.
3 yard out on the volley he should have smashed the leathering out of it.

overall considering we dont do that well against bolton i thought we did well to come back to 2-2. however we should have won it at the end.

Thought that Krancjar had a good game, Hudds and Palacios were terrible, shame Crouchie missed a sitter, considering we have not won there for the last thirteen years, happy with a draw.

Watching the full re run as we are game of the day on football first. Obviously Niko gets it.

I love Sir Wilson but his form is getting a bit worrying at the moment...thought he had a shocker.

Niko for me, honourable mentions for JJ and crouchy bar his missed chance. Hudd wasent as bad as everyone is making out considering hes 5th choice at centre back i thought he did ok, after all davies gives most centre halves aside from vidic, terry, faye etc problems.

Niko is a classy player. Bit like Malbranque in many ways, better though imo, better touch and technique, stronger shot. He doesn't run into traffic all the time, but he's not very quick either. Great first touch and good awareness though. Good player.

I agree he has the edge over steed in terms of attacking quality, however one thing he falls short on is tracking back and workrate, steed was unbelievably good at that. Niko left bae a bit exposed today some of his tackling was powderpuff. Makes luka look like stephen hunt defensively.

That is true. I still think he's better though.

I could see him playing at a top four club (which could be us soon :santaclaus:), I can't really see Steed doing that.

It will be interesting to see what Harry does when Luka is back.

Can Modric play centrally in the premier league? If he has adapted and can do it we could be in for an extremely exciting season because that is the last thing we need: Someone to play with Wilson and be really top class in there.

He can do it internationally so I don't see why he can't do it in the premier league, so long as he has a strong player with him and we have that with Wilson.

Two completely different styles of football, just look at Northern Ireland for example David Healy scores shit loads for them but can't score goals in the prem.

Modric would get eaten up at cm in the prem, stick him out left like I said from day one and you give him the option of going down left or cutting in finding space.

Healy is freak situation , he just loves playing for his Country. But now Modric is finding his feet in the prem Harry culd try a few things. I agree I have always thought roaming from the left is his best position but its not out of the question that he couldn't move into the centre with a strong partner in Wilson beside him.

I just can't see Modric handling the responsibility of tracking back against powerful physical teams.

It is different but I think it is worth a try again because he is settled and adapted now and if it works the benefits would be enormous.

Nobody's had enough faith in Healy imo. Maybe he is a poor trainer or something and at club level he pisses the manager off.

Well not entirely from day one, but I remember saying he should play left wing like Zidane did at Real Madrid which proved to be the case. The problem at that time in our season was we really didn't know what formation to play and what our best team was, I remember asking the question should we sell modric?
