"When Gaydamak took over money laundering started. As we all know Harry and Storrie are all pally, and the transfer of footballers between us and pompey leads some people to believe something dodgy is going on. The charges wont be bought until the investigation is fully complete (after the season starts). You will see I was right all along and I wasnt stirring. I cant tell you where I heard the info. When the shit will hit the fan Harry will get sacked!!"

a PM I recieved from yido in early Septe, ber.

yido is a cvnt but now I am worried he was telling the truth. :crying:

I'm sure that was posted on the board too and not just a pm for you, because I remember him saying that.Wouldn't it be just typical if when for once,we genuinely look capable of achieving something, our manager get's booted out for some off the field problems.:banghead::banghead::cursing::cursing:

Actually these rumours have been flying about for a couple of months now. Spur hinted at something along these lines back in August.

Same old speculation and as Arry would say "a load of tosh". COYS

I wonder if these rumours have anything to do with this?

Interesting. It very well could be. I don't think we need to worry though.

Anyone think there's anything to the Keane-Celtic rumour?

Spur - was this what you meant when you were talking mystically about the bad news that was coming our way?

Supposedly there was to be a meeting between Rednapp and the authorities tonight. Has any news come out of that yet ? I can't believe this is happening. Maybe he can just pay a fine or something ?

So let me get this straight. The Inland Revenue reckon that Harry recieved a lump sum as part of the Crouch deal from Pompey to Villa back in 2002, and they say that he should be paying tax on it?

And he's saying that after paying nearly £10m in tax over the last 10 years, why are they quibbling over £10,000?

Because, Harry, the taxman is a greedy bastard, and now that they can't claim expenses for "gardeners" or "cleaners" they need to rob you of your hard earned money somehow don't they? The fvckers!

So which part is the illegality stemming from? The fact that he took the payment in the first place, or that he didn't pay tax on it?

Failing to declare income = tax evasion.

What a lot of people don't get is that the influx of foreign owners pumping vast amounts of money into clubs is not all together altruistic. All I will say is that if you are going to launder money, a cash business is the perfect way of doing so. Football clubs generate a hell of a lot of cash.

Whoopsie!

But is Harry claiming that he didn't recieve the payment so there was nothing to declare anyway? Or is he saying that he's already paid enough tax?

the latter. Which surprisingly doesn't really cut the mustard.

Are you claiming genuine surprise there, or are we being sarcastic?

And anyway, if he's admitting to recieving the payment, what differentiates that from "taking a bung"? I missed this story first time around 2 years ago (who would have thought it would have had anything to do with us back then?!)

Sarcasm, VMS.

I'm not sure where he would stand re taking a bung, but the fact that it has been disclosed to the Revenue negates any critism of a legal basis. However, fans of Pompey may now have some suspicions regarding 'arry's conduct in the transfer market.

I hope there's nothing to this but there's no smoke without fire.

the dreaded taxman is looking for every opportunity to raise revenue at the moment. They are target driven on recovered dosh (not money spent) and are chasing everyone down at the moment. The fact that it is costing all of us a fckin fortune to chase this £10k escapes them. Also in any other arena someone who had kicked in £10M would not be chased for £10K. anti-semitism ?

my question is if Harry has paid £10m tax in his lifetime, hes clearly earned double that so why they **** is HE quibbling over a measly £10k tax bill. Unless of course he knows theres even more hidden where that one came from.
You're going down Harry, down with your beloved Hammers and Pompey

I am going to assume you're in a proffession based on your comment.

The Revenue are utterly out of control and are behaving as though they own the country at present. They are sending small companies to the wall for late payments etc, despite everyone else in the country giving all sorts of leeway to companies/supliers etc due to the financial times. Not the Revenue though, they'll wind you up as soon as look at you so their moron staff don't have to do any more work than strictly required.

They are aslo scamming money from creditors of these Companies by demanding they get paid their petitioners costs over and above the creditors.

Harry Redknapp says Spurs fans should relax about "absolute nonsense" reports he could quit: "I'm definitely not leaving. It's absolute rubbish. There's not a chance: I love it here."
• 2004: Harry attacks "rubbish" reports that he could join Southampton from Portsmouth: "I will not go down the road – no chance."
• 2005: Attacks reports he'll quit Southampton to go back to Portsmouth: "I have no idea where this has come from. It is absolute nonsense – just a stupid rumour."
• Aug 2008: Attacks reports he'll quit Portsmouth for Spurs: "It's absolute rubbish. Portsmouth is my club – I feel an immense sense of loyalty. To leave would be a betrayal. This is my last job in football."

He's got previous hasn't he?

Apparantly they were going to have brought any charges against Harry and Co last week so I guess this has swirled down the toilet by now then?
