I'd take him if he shut up, didn't moan, sat on the bench, gave us cover and when he did come on he played his heart out!

So you don't want him then because that won't happen. And we all know it too.

I think this would be a bad move for the club. We have already established that Mido is slightly lazy, very greedy and has a HUGE ego, do we really want him as a back up to Berbi? He is exactly what we need in a fouth choice striker plus he has plenty of European experience but I can't help but think he will be disruptive at best. I'd love to be proved wrong though.

i guess he can be very agitated on the bench especially after playing as the main target man almost every game last season... but when did he moan? he always seemed to love the club, his teammates and MJol. the fans loved him too. he did become a lazy bastard towards the end of the season, but he never moaned when Defoe was on for him the last few games, not as far as i know at least.
Anyway, I dont see it as a wise move, and I dont even see it happening:

agree with all this , and too be honest i dont think its in his interest to come back and play for us . he will get more chances elsewhere and if he is not playing i can see him getting bored and getting into trouble .

But you think a player of his quality he should have a club
by now. He is a great target man & weighs in with his fair share of
goals but as we all know his ego always gets in the way
but i do think BMJ can sort him out

He does have a club, AS Roma! :D he played a couple of preseasons now and Italian press has praised his performances compared to his team-mate Nonda's. the coach has also praised his training so far. with a little focus and dedication, Mido will shine in Lega Calcio.

AS Roma just mentioned that Mido is NOT FOR SALE. They have realised now how much they need a striker like him. They have rejected offers from Tottenham and Portsmouth, but didnt mention Blackburn ().

He never mis-behaved at spurs before. I don't know the details of his falling out with Eypgt and Ajax so I won't judge him unless I know it was him that was at fault.
I'd like to see him come back, I think he'd be a great back-up to Berb.

I don't balme him for what happened at Ajax. He was the best scorer the first season and in the best of forms, and then all of a sudden he is a left winger for weeeeks, and then benched!! And Koeman just didnt explain. Was it merely because of Zlatan? He could've used both of them up front as he did in the preseason where both scored awesome goals because both are great targetmen and support playmakers. Is it true he just dislikes Mido? No one knows, but I dont blame Mido.
With Egypt, all he said was "Why? Why every time?". He was substituted every game when other players were in worse form. Of course that's the coach's call not him, but it wasn't that bad as it looked on TV. Mido and Shehata are very close, for a long time now. Mido left Spurs when he was in his best form to help in the ACN, and was just furious of such decisions he lost his temper. It was a bad mistake, but the TV made it look a bit worse than it was.

I really doubt his return. If he had a medical yesterday, it means that all terms have been finalised. The Securities Commission would then be notified not later than this morning, and the announcement of the signing would have been made this afternoon.
So I guess we've all better forget about this one.

THIS JUST IN: AS Roma are Thinking of Spurs' Offer!!!!!
Il Romanista (official AS Roma fan magazine) has mentioned that Roma are contemplating Spurs offer regarding Mido. "New deal between Tottenham and Mdio. Roma is convinced with the striker and is trying to keep him."

Coach Spalletti has said that if Mido is to leave Roma, they will have to go after Italy NT and Udinese's Vicenzo Laquinta.

Those ****ing Italians who don't honour their words. Now that Spurs are interested again, they're trying to up his value once more by saying they want to keep him. I don't believe that or otherwise they would just tell Levy to take a hike and keep quiet about it.
