fit for Saturday. Had we had our first eleven I am convinced we would of beaten United on Saturday. Now Bassong is doubtful so if King doesn't make it I fear the worst, particularly if its Hudd and Corluka at the back. Mod is a massive loss but if we have King at the back we still have a decent chance. Lets all pray he makes it!

If it's Corluka and Hudd at the back then we're shafted. Rooney will be far too much. Modric is a big creative loss, but Krancjar is primed to take up the left side slot, and we still have plenty of threat in the aforementioned, Lennon and Keane, not to mention the man of the moment Defoe.

It's our first big test of the season, and it'll take a really physical and positive performance to win through. One thing we've proven with the top four teams, especially Man Utd, is that if you don't take the stance that if you attack in numbers they'll fillet you and just go at them positively then they are just as beatable as anyone else. Ferguson is very much an attack minded manager, and his teams can be undone at the back with sustained attacking pressure.

Personally, I'm fearing the worst.

Hopefully Woody will be back for Chelsea. As for this Saturday if its Corluka and Hudd at the back I agree with you - definitely fear the worst. Its so bloody unfair as it was a great chance to beat them!

The fact that Ledley hasn't been officially ruled out gives me a snippet of confidence - but fingers crossed, eh?

Fingers, toes and eye's crossed indeed. But here is where big squads come in, I knew we'd need another CB in. But then who envisaged all 4 CB's being out?

Our best start in years and typically it's injury problems that threaten to scupper it.

yup the mobility and sense of urgency that is lacking in hudd ,and corluka to a degree , is the worry . rooney and that bulgarian wanka are gonna exploit it

Doesn't really matter if we had Barca's first tea available to us for this game, history shows what ever happens the ref/Sky/we always find a way to help Man U take the points.

attack,attack,and more attack.
im fearing the worst for our defence now. if king play then it will shore up the central position.BAE looks a little bit more competent and hopefully corluka and hutton don't lose their heads.
remember the best form of defence is attack and we have a very good one at the moment. modric is a blow but krajcar can fill in and do a good job. lennon is just lennon and we have tons of striking options as long as though they dont get injured on international duty.

Right, so we need to go...

--------Corluka--Hudd---------

Lennon-Defoe-Crouch-Pav-Keane

Get em stoked up on very strong coffee, force them to watch X factor and listen to the Osmonds sing Puppy Love for 4 hours straight to get their rage levels to near insanity then as the referee gets ready to start the game Harry can utter over the PA "On my signal, Unleash hell!!!!"

Might work...

King and Bassong are expected to be fit for Saturday. Gomes possibly on the bench, and maybe Woody.

In African qualifying, Sebastien Bassong was taken off as a precaution in Cameroon's vital win against Gabon in Libreville. He's in line to return when the teams meet again on Wednesday. Benoit Assou-Ekotto also played 90 minutes for the Indomitable Lions.

Taken from OS. Looks like bassong will be fit. :)

That'll be because you're too young to have played the original Dos and Windows Champ Man games, ha ha!
