A good centre back worth around 14m imo and you still need a top worldy cb alongside him to challenge for the league.
Good on everton, hope davy moyes spends the dosh.

Levy must be fvcking dribbling at that price.
We paid 8 for Bassong, so he must be 11 or 12.

Of course he's not. He's a good solid player that is also good in the other box, but £24 million, are you joking?
We just paid £8 for what looks a superior player, even though we got a bargain I feel. Lescott wouldn't be in the same league as the top dogs, King, Terry, Rio etc.
Bassong looks a much better athlete too, very quick, so he looks better.
One thing that I will find interesting is how a player does after he leaves everton in his prime. Moyes has a great ability to get every last drop out of players and make a team that functions however odd it looks tactically.
Lescott is a good signing for them imo, but not an earth shattering one and he's not worth more than £13-17 on todays market imo. The top mid twenties defenders are worth £24-30, not Lescott.

I rate him but agree 24 mil is way over priced, 15 mil would be accurate.
