i'm not gonna list the lot, but i would take anyone else other than danny mills as cover for right back. Recall sol cambell playing there once and doing ok.
this will upset a few, kevin nolan instead of carrick. I think he deserves his chance and can find the net on a regular basis and has a good all round game.
Want to see defoe go and play at the world cup, and i'm sure he will. The boy is class. Lets face it sven was playing owen when he was bench boy at real madrid. In some respects he's in a better position to fulfil his role for england as he is likely to start on the bench and come on. I think he has lost some of his desperation and contributes more to passing moves.

There has to be three goalkeepers. Took two keepers once on Football Manager and both got injured, I think Tom Huddlestone went in goal!!
Anyway, plenty of talking points, mainly the lack of a holding midfielder who is English other than Carrick or Ledley. Firstly, the centre backs I feel are Rio and Terry with Ledley and Carragher as third and fourth. Carragher is cover for right back as well, with Cole and Bridge on the left.
The midfield has to have Carrick in it for Gerrard and Lampard are both box to box players and cannot play together (given that Lampard does sit further forward but is still essnetially a box to box player), as has been evident for the entire qualifying campaign (we scrape results, dont play well and struggle against mediocre opposition - tell me i'm wrong). I like Kevin Nolan but if compared to anyone it would be Lampard - out of the two i'm taking Frankie.
Up front you need five, JD, Owen, Crouch (despite being rubbish), Bent and Rooooney.
And there we have a World Cup winning squad - except an emergency new coach, PETER TAYLOR!!!

Goalkeepers
Robinson, Martyn, Green.
Defense
G. Neville, Terry, King, Ferdinand, Carragher, A.Cole, Bridge.
Midfield
Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, J.Cole, Carrick, Downing, Jenas, Lennon*.
Forwards
Owen, Rooney, Defoe, Bent, Crouch.
*lennon would be my wildcard final entry ahead of SWP mainly due to the chaos he could feasibly cause roberto carlos or the germany left back in the final, but svens logic regarding defoe not playing enough games obviously doesnt account for any chelsea, arsenal, man utd or ex-real madrid & liverpool players!!!
i also would never consider nolan because we have far better versions in gerrard and lampard and his 'finger-bull horns' goal celebration is already as boring as alan shearers...yes we get it nolan!
and it would shut allardyce up nicely!!!

I like it, and I know we are bias but I somewhat agree, he could change our fortunes in a tight game.

Sam Allardyce does need to be shut up a bit.

i guarantee he'll mention how much we've spent this season when we play them soon.
he'll either say how great it is for a club like bolton to do the double again over spurs (if they win) when they've barely spent a penny whereas we've spent a billion quid in the last year...
...or if they lose, he'll talk up his teams average acheivements and their inability to take a step up to european level when he's had nothing to spend and how well they acquited themselves against money-bags spurs and all their superstars who are on lesser wages and mostly bought for free or a few million quid ;)

Glad you've got the tactics figured out for the final.
I won't be surprised if many teams won't bother showing up because England are a such a dead cert to win it! After all we always do well when there is a six in the year.
