Afternoon,

I'm normally known as Shanks on another spurs message board, but seeing as that name was taken up, went for the old Longshanks!

I've been a Spurs fan ever since I can remember, thanks to my parents. We are a family full of spurs fans, and although not a season ticket holder, my playing football on Saturdays always stopped me going.

But, now I've stopped playing (wife and kids - all spurs too!), I try and get down as often as possible. So next month, I'll have been a Spurs fan for 32 years (although you can wipe out the first 5 years for not remembering!!!).

Anyway, I don't know much about this site, but sure to pick up on how things are run!

Already on the case, most real life mates, think the whole internet thing is a bit 'geeky' though ;-)

Yeah im the Mattyboii on SC but i dont post that often there im more of a browser. Its easier to get your opinion noticed here also which is kinda better
but i like the Chat and ITK from SC whereas im here for everything. BTW nice on the Guesstimation the other day.

Off to Brazil for a couple of weeks mate. All thanks to the BBC :-)

We can take the holiday anytime, up until Dec next year, thinking of heading off around April time, although depends on how much it costs for the kids to come!

Yeah you ain't wrong there!
It's an old school nickname that some of the kids called me, because I was rather tall and lanky.

Ever since, online games/communities, I;ve stuck with either Shanks or Longshanks..

Yeah the other family were really nice folks, although they weren't even into football, let alone Spurs fans!!

We did actually talk about Spurs, but they cut it out, I mean my brothers and I have my mum to thank for being spurs fans in the first place :-)
