DIDIER ZOKORA has revealed he snubbed Arsenal for Spurs.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger insists he has assembled the brightest collection of young talent in the world.

But the Ivory Coast midfielder, 25, reckons the future is brighter at the other end of the Seven Sisters Road.

Zokora an £8.2million signing from St Etienne, confirmed: “I listened to an offer from Arsenal, but Tottenham was the club I wanted to be at.

“Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue are friends from the Ivory Coast and it would have been nice to play with them.

“But Spurs really showed they wanted me.”

A bright lad indeed. He could see the ship sinking and the Captain was due for a mutiny.

Reminds me of the time when we were in for Samuel Eto. He nutmegged Campbell I think in a match, scored and dedicated the goal to Spurs fans.

Zokora will become one of the most influential players for us.

Just to have someone actually running with the ball from our midfield will make such a difference & by its very nature will create space either wide or up front.

Lennon will be even better this season with better players to provide service to and from. I expect us to be a very attacking side this season, with a nice solid reliable defence.

And we'll be true to form and win a Cup or two.

I hope your hands are visible hastingsyid.

Yea, I agree this could be the season that we become a really proper team. A team that is irrepressible attacking wise and solid defensively.

I hope we'll create more chances and score more goals, so we will always be a huge threat. If we can do that we will be 50/50 against the other big guns and will bowl over most of the lesser sides. It'd be nice to hammer a good few sides this year.:)

Yeah. We need to start dispensing teams the teams like Bolton, Middlesbrough as well as smashing the smaller teams. We need to establish that we are better than everyone from 5th place down, hopefully 4th. I fancy Utd or Arsenal to stumble, we just have to capitalise on it.

God I hope so. We lacked the killer edge and lost our way too many times last season, I really hope we can finish teams off this year.

The way I see it, 4th was ours last season. Arsenal didn't earn fourth, we handed it to them on a plate.

We're more experienced now and will have a strength in depth to rival or even better some of the teams inside the 'top4', so I'm expecting the battle between Chelsea, Liverpool, ManUre, Scum and ourselves to be titanic this season. We need some excitement, what with Chelsea having virtually secured the Title.

Let's forget about last season and concentrate on a successful year ahead.
